Yesterday I made these addictive nougat cookies, I got the recipe from my friend Fiona, here it is!
350 g flour
50 g cocoa powder
1/2 Tablespoon Salt
2 Tablespoons Baking Powder
200 g Nougat
325 g soft Butter
225 g Sugar
150 g Dark Chocolate Coating
some nice Decoration ( crumbles, pistacios,…)
Pre-heat the oven (180 ° Celsius).
Mix flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder.
Cut the nougat into small pieces and let it melt in a water quench.
In the meantime beat the butter and the sugar into a foam for around 3 minutes, then add the melted nougat and finally the flour-cocoa powder mixture.
Coat the dough on a greased backing sheet, it’s easier if you dip the spoon/ dough scraper into cold water inbetween, then it’s not so sticky…
Bake the dough for 20 minutes.
After it cooled down, cut it into bite-sized pieces, melt the chocolate coating and decorate the cookies with that and the crumbles/other stuff…
