What’s In The Bowl? Testing My Muesli…

Oh, how I love muesli!

Almost every morning starts with this breakfast - sometimes the creamy warm version as a porridge, sometimes cold and crunchy…

To be honest - I love to create my own muesli mixtures out of:

-oatmeal or mixed wheat- , spelt-, corn- , rice-, whatever-flakes

-coconut flakes

- all kinds of nuts and seeds (walnuts, almonds, apricot kernels, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, cashews, macadamia, hazelnuts,…)

-flaxseed or canihua (similar digestive effects to flaxseed, yet looks more like poppy seed and has a nutty taste)

- dried fruits ( plums, dates, raisins, goji berries, figs…)

and fresh fruits of course…

then I add soymilk, almond milk, hazelnut milk, rice (/coconut) milk or soyoghurt

But sometimes I don’t have the time to mix-match and for these mornings I really like the pre-mixed mueslis and porridges by mymuesli ;)

First they have a lot of vegan versions without honey and dairy ingredients like the Matcha muesli with pistacios…
Second you can create your very personal muesli mix and order it online

Third thing is - they have these little “to-go”-packages which are perfect for traveling - for porridge you add (soy)milk and/or hot water and you can have a healthy, crunchy, comforting, warm/cold snack everywhere - train/plane/car…
