What Pops?/ Visiting Julie Pop Bakery

Julie from Vienna and her mum Sonja sucessfully run Julie Pop Bakery.
They make delicious cake pops that look wonderful (sometimes like sushi) and even taste better…(find more pics on their Facebook page)

As you might have realised, I love playing with food and making cake pops is mosdef playing with food so I was more than happy to participate in one of the workshops they offer (for more information go here!)…
So last sunday I learned how to pop the cake!

In the photos you see:

First you have to make a big mess out of cake crumble and a mixture of creamcheese, white chocolate and butter…after the ball is glued on the stick with sugar glaze…we can start preparing the decoration…you have to have a vision what your finished pop should look like. Sometimes it works…there was a whole zoo at the end of the day…my personal mess…ahem…workspace…Julie doin’ some teddybears…my personal results -my masterpiece - the mental barbapapa who killed the cute pink baby rabbit…
